Call for Nominations
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Professional Achievement Award
Complete Nominations Due by March 9, 2007
This is an award endowed through the Oklahoma State University Foundation in honor of Dr. Gerrit W. Cuperus and his exemplary work and pioneering effort in IPM at Oklahoma State University. The award is intended to recognize OSU Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources personnel (state, area, and county) for their exemplary professional achievements and service to the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service IPM program. The award may recognize the professional achievements and service of an individual or a well defined team (not to exceed four individuals). Justification for the award nomination should include:
· Demonstrated impact
· Actual and potential pesticide use reduction
· Program creativity and innovative delivery
· Interdisciplinary and research-based
· Involving multiple levels of Extension
· Addressing an important issue/problem/opportunity
· Effectively reaching the target audience
Nominations
Using non-technical language, in three pages or less, clearly describe the nominee’s IPM program contributions in light of the award nomination criteria shown above. Explain and document the professional achievement and service of the nominated individual (team) with respect to these criteria. Nominations maybe self nominations or from a third party or group.
Endowment
This award includes a one-time monetary stipend made available through the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Professional Achievement Award Endowment Fund.
