NIBIB Announces Fifth Regional Grantsmanship Seminar in Denver
May 7, 2007
The NIBIB will hold a regional Grantsmanship Seminar on Monday, May 7, 2007 in Denver, Colorado.
This event will be hosted by the University of Denver.
The Grantsmanship Seminar is intended to provide an overview of NIBIB funding opportunities and the NIH application, review, and grant-making processes and policies. We invite faculty, researchers, students, and others interested in research opportunities in bioengineering, biomedical imaging, and research training opportunities at the NIH to attend.
Why You Should Attend:
The best time to learn about funding opportunities for research and research training and get the inside view on how to write a successful application is when funding is tight
Talk face-to-face with program leaders about hot topics, your research interests, what review committees want, and how the review process works
Meet colleagues and potential collaborators
The one-day program includes presentations by Institute staff on overviews of the NIBIB and the NIH, NIBIB research and training programs and opportunities, the NIH peer review process, and a mock review.
If you are interested in attending the Grantsmanship Seminar, please register by clicking on the link below here.
The registration fee is $50 for general attendance and free for all currently enrolled students. Early registration is advised as space is limited and on-site registration (if available) will be more expensive.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: Please see attached list. Ask for the University of Denver Rate.
DIRECTIONS: Please see attached map to the University of Denver.
Contact Stacy Wallick (wallicks@mail.nih.gov) for questions concerning the seminar, and Linda Quintanar (lquinta2@du.edu) for questions concerning seminar logistics.
